1TakeLabs ("the Studio," "we," "us") provides recording studio time and related services booked through 1takelabs.com, located at 345 N Loomis St, Chicago, Illinois. By booking a session you agree to these terms.
Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Studio/unit, session length, engineer assignment, and pricing are shown at the time of booking and confirmed once payment (in full or as a deposit) clears. Pricing is set per studio/unit — the two rooms may be priced differently based on equipment.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Sessions may be paid in full at booking, or with a 30% deposit charged by card and the remaining balance collected in cash at the session. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for what happens if a session is missed, cancelled, or rescheduled.
Arrive on time — your booked session time includes setup, and late arrivals still end at the original scheduled end time. Treat the space and equipment with respect; you're responsible for any damage caused by misuse during your session.
Guests are welcome up to the room's limit: 4 total people in Studio A, 6 total people in Studio B. Additional guests beyond that limit are $5 per person, collected at the session.
The Studio regularly posts photos and video clips from sessions to its own social media, portfolio, and website for promotional purposes, and plans to do this for most sessions by default. If you don't want your session filmed, photographed, or posted, let your engineer know before the session starts and we'll respect that.
The Studio is not responsible for personal belongings left on-site. Recorded material is the client's responsibility to back up — the Studio does not guarantee long-term storage of session files beyond what's needed to deliver your session. Normal wear and tear on equipment is expected and not billed; a client is responsible for the cost of repair or replacement only in the case of real damage caused by misuse. By booking, you agree the Studio's total liability for any claim related to a session is limited to the amount you paid for that session. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The Studio may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the booking site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
